Shepherd Textiles 100% Baby Alpaca Yarn - Worsted is pure baby-grade alpaca, soft as a cloud and wonderfully warm. It is a medium weight/light worsted yarn that is perfect for both knitting and weaving. Each skein weighs 150 grams and is 300 meters long (5.3 oz/328yds). It is spun from the same baby alpaca fiber was sell for handspinning, which we have independently tested to make sure the average fiber diameter (AFD) is no more than 20 microns. Each vibrant color is dyed according to OEKO-TEX 100 standards, which means they are certified to be free from harsh chemicals and safe for against-the-skin wear.
